An OSHA - 30 course has been scheduled for the following Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:PM to 9:PM. September 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30, October 5, 7, 12 & 14th. If you have taken the OSHA - 10 within the last six months, you are only required to complete twenty additional hours.
Defibrillator / CPR Certification / First Aid

This is a two night certification course in CPR / AED / First Aid training. You will learn the proper techniques to respond in emergency situations where CPR or the use of the Defibrillator is needed. This program will be offered from 6:00 PM to 9:00PM on Wednesday, September 15th and the 22nd. Space is limited. Additional classes will be available.
Benefit Seminar

All members and their spouses are encouraged to attend a seminar covering all your benefits. Presenters will be representatives from I.E. Shaffer, Cigna, Prudential, Occupational Health Program, Jersey Trades Credit Union, N.J. Place Community Colleges. The program will run from 8:AM till 12:noon on Saturday,25th.

Universal R-410A Safety and Certification Course

This program will be offered Tuesday October 19th and Thursday the 21st from 6:PM to 9:PM. It will provide Training and certification for experienced HVAC/R Technicians. The class will provide 5 hours of preparation and conclude with an on-line exam in our computer lab as in compliance with Esco Institute. The cost of the seminar is $40.00 which includes a training manual & the exam. Additional classes will be offered as needed.
S.T.A.R. Certification Review and Test

The next S.T.A.R. Review session will be held at the Training Center on Tuesday October 26th, Thursday 28th, Thursday November 4th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The exam will be on Saturday the 6th at 8:AM. Information about payment remains the same as posted above.
Open Computer Lab at the Training Center

Open Lab / Extra help will be available November 20th and December 4th....If needed additional Saturdays will be added. The computer lab is open to all members on these dates from 8:AM to 12:PM. We have a complete list of manufacturer links and related programs. CD's are also available that contain many manufacturer's parts and equipment. Extra help for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year apprentices will be available on open lab Saturdays. The 4th and 5th year apprentices are to notify the Instructor of the course in which help is needed.
The 2011 recruitment for Apprentices will take place January 3rd, 2011 through January 14th, 2011

Requirements: A copy of Birth Certificate, High School Diploma with official Transcripts or Equivalency (GED) with official Transcripts. Three Letters of Reference, and a copy of your Drivers License must be presented (not returnable) to receive an application. (Prior applicants must resubmit the above documents). You must be 18 years of age and have a Valid Photo Driver License without major infractions. Successful applicants will be required to pass a Drug Screening.
Note: There will be 75 applications available at each Local. The applications will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be filled out by the applicant at the Local. Please be sure to have the documents mentioned. Incomplete applications will not be considered. None will be mailed and only one per applicant.
